Purpose in the Pause

When God says wait, it doesn’t mean stop—it means prepare.

Waiting seasons can feel like silent seasons. Like everyone else is moving forward and you’re just... stuck. But what if the pause isn’t punishment? What if it’s preparation? What if God is building something in you now that you’ll need later?

In a world that glorifies hustle and urgency, waiting can feel like failure. But in the Kingdom, waiting is often a sign of protection and provision. David was anointed king, but he went back to tending sheep. Jesus waited 30 years before His public ministry.

There’s power in the pause. It’s where character is refined, identity is strengthened, and obedience is tested.

Don’t waste the wait. Ask God, “What are you teaching me in this season?” He’s not withholding—He’s preparing. And what’s coming is worth the patience.

Journal today: What is God developing in me while I wait? How can I shift from frustration to faith in this pause?
