Broken Crayons Still Color

How your flaws, failures, and faith all work together for purpose.

We all have cracks in our stories. Moments we wish we could erase, words we regret, and seasons we barely survived. But here’s the truth—your brokenness doesn’t disqualify you. It makes your testimony even more vibrant. Broken crayons still color, and your life is still painting a masterpiece.

God specializes in using what the world throws away. That pain you tried to hide? He’s using it to birth ministry. That story you’re ashamed to tell? He’s waiting for you to share it so others can be free.

You may feel like you’re only giving God the leftover pieces, but He’s the kind of artist that turns fragments into beauty. Remember the woman at the well? She came to hide. Jesus came to heal. And then He commissioned her to preach—without a pulpit.

Your past is a part of your process, but it does not define your power. You are not too broken to be used. You are not too messed up to matter. You are still in His plan.

Take a moment to reflect: What “broken” part of your story might God be asking you to share so someone else can find hope?
